Mr. Ma Zhanwu, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, gave prizes to the students from Visva Bharati University for their excellence in their essays written in Chinese. Consul Zhang Jing and Dr Avijit Banerjee, Dean of the Department of Chinese Language and Culture (Cheena Bhavana) of the university, were present.

Mr. Ma Zhanwu, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, participated in the inaugural session of the international conference on "Civilizational Interface Between India and China" in Santiniketan, West Bengal, India on 26 September 2015. (for Chinese)
