Cheena Bhavana

Visva-Bharati Cheena-Bhavana (Department of Chinese Language and Culture), the oldest department of Chinese studies in this sub-continent was established by Gurudeva Rabindranath Tagore and Prof. Tan Yun-Shan on 14th April 1937 with great ideas of strengthening the age old culture relation and interfaces between India and China through personal contacts and investigations into the history of interrelationship between the two countries.
